Deacon responses that are mandatory to learn for being a deacon are the ones that follow:
Before the Raising of Incense of either Matins or Vespers their are Praises that are chanted. The praise that is chanted before the Matins prayer would be the Morning Doxology and the praise that is chanted before the Vesper Prayers would be the the Vesper Praises consisting of the Fourth Canticle, Psali (Lobsh or Adam depending on Day), Theotokia (of that Day), The Psali Lobsh or Adam, and the conclusion of the theotokias. #After the priest has finished with his prayer the deacon goes into the alter to bring forward the censer to the priest to offer incense, and then circles the alter six times with the priest with the bible (bishara) and the cross held in his hands up high. While this is going on inside the alter the congregation chants the hymn of “VERSES OF SYMBOLS”(Vatos)
